Wheke is plantation-sized squid that flies through the dream. It has a large oval shell on its back made out of a beautiful cloudy marble which would go for a fortune in the waking world. The spirits of the deceased have constructed a city on its back, build with the same cloudy marble that make up its shell. Between these buildings are rolling grassy hills sown into wheke's slimy flesh, on which an endless pack of woolly dogs run before entering the marble city to play. Wheke consider the spirits building in his shell to be nothing but ants on the back of a dire wombat. However Wheke sometimes does communicate with the spirits of deceased hobbits who find their way into his sight.
